Canalside art
A group of teenagers with stencils were decorating quite a long length of concrete panels beside the Trent and Mersey Canal. By lunchtime they had run out of enthusiasm.

The canal at Middleport, 1961
This view could not be pinned down until the building on the extreme right was identified as one of those of the Middleport Pottery of Burgess & Leigh. This is one of the few old buildings still standing in this view - so it matters not there is only a glimpse of it here.
