Silverdale: flooded wasteland
This is viewed from the end of Cannel Row on Silverdale Enterprise Park. A tempting if transient habitat to birds and birders, it attracted occasional waders and the odd rare or unusual gull. This spot is now a playing field serving the new housing estate, beginning to be constructed in the background: see Image]

Noah's Wood, Silverdale Country Park
The designation 'Noah's Wood' appears to be of recent origin, but this is obviously by far the oldest piece of woodland in the Country Park, the rest of which was a coal mine. On the left through the trees can be discerned one of the units on Silverdale Enterprise Park.
