Stafford Coats of Arms on Longton railway bridge
On either side of the railway bridge pillar at Times Square, Longton. The photos shows a relief shield with the Stafford Coat of arms.[reference: http://www.pmsa.org.uk/pmsa-database/6905/ ] The shield is charged with two Stafford Knots, a representation of a four towered castle and a lion. Longton bus station
The lack of buses not long before six on a Saturday evening is explained by the fact that relatively few buses that serve Longton terminate here; many merely pause briefly on their way to somewhere else. The facilities in the bus station can be described as basic.
