St. Peter's Church, Broughton
St. Peter's was built in 1634 on the site of an earlier chapel, for the Broughton family. There is a stone notice board on the south wall Dated 1633.

St Peter's Church, Broughton
According to the stone tablet below the end window the church has been around since 1633 though some of the rather fine stained glass windows are apparently dated even earlier having been brought in from other places. Not surprisingly it's a Grade 1 listed building.

Broughton church
St Peter's is a handsome little church. Although built in the C17th it is in the Gothic style. There is no village of Broughton.
