St Editha's Church, Church Eaton
The church, St Editha, is an ancient structure, in the Saxon style of architecture, with a low tower, supporting a spire of modern erection. The south side of the building likewise appears to have been rebuilt in modern times, from the square form of its windows.

Preparing the wicket
Preparations are made for the village cricket match. Creases are marked, stumps carefully aligned and home side tactics discussed. The match was a classic: glowering skies; eccentric bowling; blacksmith's batting and a damn fine tea.
