Canal cruising near Penkridge in Staffordshire
This is the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal meandering southwards towards Penkridge and Wolverhampton. The narrowboat is called "Beeston Castle".

Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. This is the boatyard belonging to the Teddesley Boat Company. A brand new narrowboat has been brought in by road, and the crane has lifted the boat about half a metre above the low loader.

Narrowboat delivery (7) near Penkridge, Staffordshire
Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. This is the boatyard belonging to the Teddesley Boat Company. A brand new narrowboat has been brought in by road. The crane has lifted the vessel off the low loader, and has moved and lowered it precisely onto the wood blocks already placed alongside the other boat. The whole process took just under half an hour. All that is required now is to remove the lifting straps and move the crane away.
