1st Stop convenience store and post office on Wolverhampton Road, Stafford
The image was taken at dusk. The building has had many food and drink related uses. It was first occupied by The Stafford Co-operative Society Ltd as their branch no 5. This is shown on the painted band over the first floor windows (barely visible in the image).

St Austin's Catholic church and presbytery, Stafford
The church was designed by E W Pugin (1834–1875) and built in 1861-62 replacing an earlier church of 1817-19. The presbytery and a chapel behind were built in 1791 in anticipation of Catholic emancipation. Both the church and the presbytery are grade II listed.

St Austin's Catholic church, Stafford
The church was designed by E W Pugin (1834–1875) and built in 1861-62 replacing an earlier church of 1817-19. The church is built on the site of a medieval friary named Austin Friars which was founded on the teachings of St Augustine of Hippo, living among the people and emphasizing community life, study and preaching. It is grade II listed and its style is gothic revival. The turret, on the left, was built in 1962 and the spire added in the 1990's.
