The housing estate which now covers land vacated by the demolished Johnson's pottery is now complete and pleasantly landscaped by the Caldon Canal.
This housing style is widespread on the south side of Hanley.

Many old industrial buildings by the Caldon Canal have been demolished and the land allocated to housing development. The apartments here are in Roseland Close East. The telephoto lens setting has emphasised the bend of the canal.

Canalside housing south-east of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent
The new canalside housing on the right is on the site of the former Johnson Brothers pottery. This style of housing is now widespread in this part of Stoke, replacing demolished potteries and other former industrial sites.
