The Retreat and Big Mill, Leek
On the A523. The Retreat declares itself to cover spa, hair, health, beauty and bistro. It looks like it might have been a public house. The mill on the hill is part of Big Mill, a former textile mill and this block was then disused.

Wesleyan Court, Mill Street
Former Wesleyan Chapel and Ragged School of 1870, designed by Sugden & Son. Now converted to flats (the spelling is what appears on the sign on the building).

Wesleyan Chapel and Ragged School
Ragged Schools were charitable schools dedicated to the free education of destitute children in 19th century. Built in 1870 the building has now been converted into apartments.

Former entrance to Big Mill
Before the expansion of the mill to the rear, on top of the hill, these gates would have been the main entrance. Designed by William Sugden, Grade II listed.
