Penny Bank House
Built by Larner Sugden for the Leek Moorlands Co-operative Society, and dated 1899. The decorative panels in coloured Portland cement, represent the various activities of the Co-operative Society and were designed by the sculptor Andrew Broadbent. The building was restored by the Staffordshire Housing Association, who currently occupy the building, in 1997. The name commemorates the savings facilities provided by the Co-op for its members.
