Big Al's Furniture Kingdom
Big Al Harrison's Furniture Kingdom is as much a local landmark as the Tarpot (Harvester) pub nearby. It probably is not quite so conspicuous now since the Tesco express (left of picture) was built between the shop and the road junction.

Shops at the Tarpots road junction
Benfleet is odd in that it does not really have a town centre. Tarpots is one of several shopping areas. It has many shops, two banks, a solicitors and a pub. The parade of shops opposite can be seen in Image
