The Crown Pub at Hadleigh, now closed
This is the same pub as seen in Image, taken in 2006. The yellow signs are from the security company, but the fence in the foreground marks the edge of the roadworks on the other side of the road.

Hadleigh Fire Station, now closed
This is the same building as in Trevor Harris's picture (Image), but now defunct. The fire station was moved to Rayleigh Weir, some miles away, despite local protest. The banners here, and in Trevor Harris's photo were all part of the campaign to keep it open.
