The old Hockley Fire Station
Hockley fire station built by Rochford Rural District Fire Brigade in 1940. Passed into the hands of the National Fire Service and then taken over by Essex County Fire Brigade in 1948 and remained in use until 1973 when it closed and the crew moved into the nearby Hawkwell Fire Station. It is now used by the Parish Council and provides the community a meeting place.
