Shoebury Hall
Shoebury Hall is on the east side of Wakering Avenue at its junction with Friars Street in which the photographer was standing when this image was taken. According to the notice board outside it is now Shoebury Gospel Hall.

Shoeburyness railway station
The London Tilbury and Southend Railway reached Shoeburyness in 1884. In the photograph the station is to the left, the station car park is in the centre, and a small part of the extensive train stabling yard is to the right. The track on the immediate right of the car park fence leads round to Image This view was taken from the long footbridge that connects Shoebury Avenue and Ness Road.
