Town Square, Basildon
This is the heart of Basildon, one of several new towns designated in the post-war period, designed to absorb 'overspill' population from London. The architecture, although very much at the leading edge in its day, has become unfashionable nowadays. Nevertheless, this square is not unpleasant on a sunny day.
