Freedom House, Basildon
The 'square' enclosed by this building is one of the focal points of central Basildon. The architecture is typical of the 50s/60s style of most of the town centre, having sprung up in the countryside as part of the 'New Town' movement

Brooke House is a block of flats.
It stands like a monolith in the middle of Basildon Town Centre.

St. Martin's Bell Tower
The only Glass and Steel bell tower in the world, at St. Martin's Church in Basildon Town Centre. It is completely separate from the Church which can just be seen to the right of the tower.
