Church tower, Pitsea Mount
Tower of the 13th-century church of St. Michael, situated on Pitsea Mount. The church was deconsecrated in 1983, the nave demolished in 1998. Grade II listed.

St Michael's Graveyard
This neglected graveyard is situated just below the tower which is all that is left of St Michael's Church.

The Tower, Pitsea Church
When I was last here, some years ago, the Victorian church was still there, though in a ruinous and dangerous state. Now just the tower remains, providing a handy spot for a mobile phone mast.

Interior of Pitsea Church before it was demolished!
Here is the wretched state of Pitsea Church before it was demolished. The Nave and chancel had been rebuilt in Victorian times and there was little of historic value to save (other than the tower).
