Southend Seafront and Pier
Early evening along Southend seafront. The Pier is open again (August 2006) after being closed for nine months because of a disastrous fire. In the middle distance is part of the Adventure Playground complex

Palace Hotel, seafront, Southend-on-Sea
A very famous landmark and grand hotel of the past still stands overlooking Southend seafront. Now home I believe, to asylum seekers. This shot was taken at the bottom of Pier Hill.
