Southend Central railway station, Essex
Opened in 1856 by the London Tilbury and Southend Railway as the eastern terminus, the line was later extended to Shoeburyness.

Saaf End Centrl (Southend Central Station) is home to C2C Rail. The line was constructed by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway Company, it became part of LMS then BR, back to LT&S on privatisation and now after merger with WAGN has become C2C. This is not an acronym or so we are told, could it actually stand for Cruel to Commuters?
