The station is actually located in the suburb of Fulwell but is named after the seaside area one mile to the east. A Metro train for Newcastle and the airport is departing.

Seaburn Metro Station
The platform for Newcastle bound trains at the Seaburn station on the Tyne and Wear Metro network. The metro network runs on Network Rail tracks at this point which means heavy rail often pass through the station, but do not stop.
