Despite appearances, this path does not offer an easy way down to the beach but finishes in a precipitous drop. A notice nearby warns "No access to beach".

A small sea arch can be seen in the nearest promontory. Beyond, the outfall marks where a gully runs down to the sea. The headland at Salterfen Rocks lies beyond with Sunderland in the distance.
