Pub on Station Road; originally Station Hotel, then Load of Hay, then Augustus John, named after the artist who used to frequent it with his entourage. Station Road passes the Augustus John pub
Although he was born a Welshman, at Tenby in Pembrokeshire; Augustus John (exponent of Post-Impressionism) died in Fordingbridge on 31 October 1961. This pub was renamed in his honour.
