Junction, Flamstone Street
It was here over 150 years ago a murder happened. The body was reputed to have been buried at this junction. Up until about 1900 the ghost of the murdered man would often appear. Horses could hardly ever be made to pass this spot. In 1900 the road was widened and a skeleton found; since that time the ghost has not been seen, although even recently horses have shown great reluctance in passing by.
