Wherwell Priory Lodge
Attractive flint and red brick gate house. The priory was destroyed after the Dissolution of the Monasteries and was replaced by a 19th century manor house.

B3420 northeast of Wherwell Priory
As happens frequently in its valley, the River Test is not confined to a single channel. In this area the picture is complicated by the River Dever which joins the Test just beyond the Priory. Here we are between the two rivers but the wet weather has consiped to cause them to inundate the intervening meadows.
