Field by the A303
And by The Buck services, from the edge of which this was taken. The mast is shown more clearly in Image The field is crossed by Longparish footpath 21. Its crop, possibly of winter wheat, is having a damp time of it. But things look worse because I accidentally switched the speed on the camera from Auto to 1/4000, and have just spent a while trying to compensate for this. Sorry!

A303 near Forton
This is the A303 London to Exeter main road seen from the B3048 flyover near Forton. Apart from the dualling of the road, much has changed here in recent years. The flyover replaced a railway bridge which crossed the road here. The petrol station took the place of a roadside inn. An industrial estate hidden behind the trees on the left replaced railway sidings that served a large wartime ammunition depot.
