Plaque in Enham Alamein
The village has grown up around the support provided to soldiers who fought in the North Africa campaign during WW2, and subsequent conflicts. H.R.H. The Princess Royal, in 1947, was Mary, Countess of Harewood, who was the 3rd child (and only daughter) of King George V and Queen Mary. (Thanks to Alan Fryer for checking this).
