An open space has been retained to provide a valuable breathing space for three housing estates, with a fourth to be built shortly. The park is popular with local families and is well equipped with play equipment for children.

This area of land is normally inaccessible but as the area was being used for the site offices of the company extending the adjacent Tescos superstore I asked permission and was allowed in to take some photos. The waterworks was built in 1931 but some of the outbuildings are not quite so old.
