Andover Town railway station (site), Hampshire
Opened in 1865 by the Andover & Redbridge Railway, soon to become past of the London & South Western Railway, this station closed in 1964 to passengers, and completely in 1967. The site has been completely redeveloped.
View south towards Clatford and Redbridge from the former level crossing. The tracks followed the lanes of oncoming traffic, curving round to the right, with the station footbridge being immediately over the leading cars. The lanes in the opposite direction would have been the old goods yard, with a goods shed in the distance where the trees are. The supermarket to the left appears to be on the site of a "coach and motor works" on the 1937 OS map.
