Interesting modern building in Clipsham stone and flint. Built in 1964-73 to designs of Louis de Soissons (and Richard Fraser after the former's death).

Winchester Crown Court from Castle Avenue
Down a rather steep set of steps is Winchester Crown Court. It sticks out like a sore thumb next to the Great Hall. It was built in 1974.

Hampshire Jubilee Sculpture
This sculpture by local artist Rachel Fenner stands outside Winchester's modern law courts. It is inspired by the Round Table and symbolises various aspects of the city's history; it was unveiled by the Queen in 2003.
