Carved stone post by the B3420, in parish of WINCHESTER (WINCHESTER District), Andover Road, Barton Farm; 25m North of Park Road junction, on grass verge near transformer, on East side of road. Flat top pillar, erected by the Andover & Winchester, Andover District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- (WI)NCHESTER 1 MILE TO THE BUTTERCROSS Milestone Society National ID: HA_NEWI22.
