Alresford Drove
One of the many former drove roads on the chalk upland. Here a short section forms the northern route out of South Wonston, on a sharp bend. There is a private farm access track to the left, and behind us the drove road continues as a restricted byway towards South Wonston Farm.

Alresford Drove
One of the many former drove roads on the chalk upland is now a surfaced road into South Wonston. Here, the road suddenly narrows and is only one vehicle wide for about 100 metres before a sharp bend. Although traffic coming the other way has to give way, they cannot see this section until they are round the bend. It seems to work though.

Drove Corner numbers 1 and 2
At the vanishing point, Alresford Drove turns 100 degrees left and becomes West Hill Road North. The slate-roofed building at left is part of the very recently built La Frenaye Place.
