Village pub, Sparsholt
Named the Plough Inn. Seems like a nice place. Haven't been in it yet though. It has a large car park with lots of overflow parking round the back.

Plough Inn, Sparsholt, Hampshire
A pleasant and welcoming pub with an extensive menu. Although in Hampshire it is reassuring to note that the management obtain their beer from Wadworths, a Wiltshire brewery.

Moon over Sparsholt, Hampshire
Nearly full, the moon shines brightly in the gathering dusk on a cold February evening. The viewpoint was the car park of the Plough Inn, venue for a meeting of Geographers a short while later.

Sign for the Plough, Sparsholt
The name and sign has very obvious agricultural meanings and relationships. It is a very old sign, originally found on pubs in farming areas which, of course, mean almost the whole country. In the middle ages, ploughs were blessed shortly after Christmas and a decorated was used to raise money to make a special plough-ale.
