Bridge Road, Woolston
In the foreground part of the Itchen Bridge and beyond that the railway bridge just outside Woolston station. The road takes its name from the older of the two bridges.

Health warning. Itchen Bridge
Crossing bridges can seriously damage your health. A Samaritans sign on the beginning of the parapet at the Woolston end of the Itchen Bridge. After the STD code for Southampton changed from 01703 to 023 and local numbers changed from six digits to eight digits, both on 22 April 2000, it has become customary to split the numbers into two blocks of four digits to aid clarity.
