Grade II listed cottages on Sharcott Drove, Pewsey
The black & white building is Nos. 1 & 2, dating from the 16th & 17th C with English Heritage Building ID: 311736. In front of it is No 3; a building of similar date with English Heritage Building ID: 311737. It served as a public house in the 19th C. and it may be serendipitous; but in those days the old symbol advertising an alehouse was an ivy bush. Today ivy still grows, in a pillar, up the telegraph pole at the front.
