Cadley Lock and Lock Cottage, Kennet and Avon Canal, Brimslade, Wiltshire
The former lock-keeper's cottage is seen just beyond the lock, also known as Wootton Top Lock. There is an estate agent's board just visible showing the cottage as being for sale. It is on the books at £595,000 although the agent's website says it is under offer. Cadley Lock is the high point on the canal that runs from Bristol to Reading so it's downhill from here on eastwards. Update: the cottage sold for £570,000 in November 2014.

The narrowboat is moored just west of Cadley Lock, the highest lock on the canal. For those who found this via a search engine sorry to disappoint.
