Approaching Mill Bridge
Class 47, 47119, approaches Mill Bridge on the outskirts of Great Bedwyn with The Torbay Limited - a special from Paddington to Kingswear. The train is made up of ex-Great Western Railway carriages belonging to the Great Western Society at Didcot. On the left in the trees is the River Dun which crosses under the railway at this point and then flows alongside it on the right towards Bedwyn Station. On the right of the photo is the Kennet & Avon Canal. Perversly, the canal appears to be higher than the railway in the distance but I suspect that is an optical illusion.
