Statue and pillbox in the grounds of Faringdon House
The statue, with others, was brought to Faringdon House from the Great Exhibition of 1851. Some say it is supposed to be Cleopatra: the standing figure appears to be male, but the head could be a queen wearing the false beard worn by all pharaohs, male or female.
The statue is superimposed on a WW2 pillbox, and stands very near the boundary wall of the Faringdon House park.
