Uffington railway station (site), Oxfordshire, 2014
Opened in 1844 by the Great Western Railway on the line from Reading to Swindon, this station closed in 1964.
View east towards Challow and Reading, a few years before the line was electrified. Between 1864 and 1951, passengers could change here for the short branch to Faringdon. The branch curved away sharply to the left of the image.

Uffington railway station (site), Oxfordshire
Opened in 1844 by the Great Western Railway on the line from Reading to Swindon, this station closed in 1964.

The Junction Hotel, former Uffington Junction railway station
The branch line to Faringdon branched off from the London-West Country mainline at Uffington Junction. Presumably people awaited their connection at the hotel.

Bus and Bungalow
Fairly nondescript view from one of the railway bridges near Baulking.
The embankment beyond the bus is the track of the old branch line to Faringdon.

Uffington Trading Estate, 2014
Still under development here, the business so far on a board by the entrance was Track Day Toyz Ltd inc Deaconz Auto Services. The site was formerly a brick and tile works.
