Faringdon: the Old Town Hall (2)
Caught in the slanting light of an October afternoon. The building is reckoned to date from the late 17th century - and its small size suggests that in those days managing municipal affairs was no great burden.

When the Town Hall was white
Probably Faringdon's most photographed building, the old Town Hall stands in the middle of the road in the town centre. Recent pictures all show it painted in a sort of sandy yellow colour, but before that it was white, as seen here. I don't know when it changed colour and this is from a print and I don't have an accurate date for it. Mid 90s at a guess.
