A419 approaching Turnpike Junction, Swindon
This is one of two minor road junctions which have survived on the A419 around Swindon (the other is at Dorcan http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2088172). Until construction of a new section of road in 2007-9, the A419 rejoined the course of the Roman Ermin Street (and later turnpike road) at this junction.

Groundwell Industrial Estate, Swindon.
Belliss & Morcom compound belt driving an alternator. Installed secondhand 1980, stopped 2002 and removed 2003. When photographed was in steam and on load (how times have changed).
Rather whimsically it had a nameplate stating "Steaming Jenny".
