View north from the southern end of the Swindon and Cricklade Railway near Haydon Wick
For now this is as far south as the line goes. It is hoped that, one day, the line will run to Mouldon Hill country park a few hundred metres behind the viewpoint. This and other pictures of mine from today were taken at a Steam and Vintage rally at the heritage railway.

View north from the Swindon and Cricklade Railway towards Blunsdon Station near Haydon Wick
The houses in view are fairly new. Those nearest the camera aren't on aerial photos yet. The ones beyond are and are in Minnow Close south of Tadpole Lane. This and other pictures of mine from today were taken at a Steam and Vintage rally at the heritage railway.

The line stops here - for now. It is hoped that the line will carry on for a few hundred metres more to Mouldon Hill country park at some time in the not too distant future. At left behind the hedge is the Clifford Meadow Site of Special Scientific Interest http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/323056 Just about visible are houses that were under construction the last time I photographed hereabouts http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/323075 This and other pictures of mine from today were taken at a Steam and Vintage rally at the heritage railway.

Winter-sown crop, Tadpole Lane, near Swindon (2)
This is another view of the field seen here Image I suspect that the crop is a cereal of some sort, probably wheat. The car is, or was, a 2007 Renault Megane, the impressively ugly one with the misshapen rear end.
