Pickard's Small Field, Gorse Hill, Swindon (7)
One of a few shots of a derelict allotment site. It seems a local resident has borrowed part of the disused allotment to grow some vegetables.

Pickard's Small Field, Gorse Hill, Swindon (5)
One of a few shots of a derelict allotment site. In the distance are some houses at the western end of Malvern Road. The eastern section of that road was developed between the wars whilst the western part is post-war, probably 1960s vintage. Peeping over the top of the roofs is the unmistakable outline of local landmark the David Murray John (DMJ) Tower

Edwards Amusement Depot, Ferndale Road, Swindon
Edwards Amusement Depot contains some small dwellings (the white buildings in the background), but mainly the space is used to store mobile catering vans and the like. Particularly interesting are the old caravans near the entrance.

Rear of Malvern Road, Swindon
Malvern Road contains typical 1930s semi-detached houses. When originally built they had rather attractive art deco steel-framed windows. I think they have all been replaced. The alley in the foreground separates Malvern Road from Norman Road, out of shot to the left.

Corner of Norman Road
I passed several Royal Mail post boxes on my walk today. Most of them seemed to be leaning a bit.
