Baptist Church, Lea
In 1808 Calvinistic Methodists built this Zion chapel on the east side of the Street in Lea. In 1851, morning service on Census Sunday was attended by 133 people and evening service by 140. The chapel was rebuilt in stone in 1861. It was used by Congregationalists between 1885 and 1939, and by Baptists at present. The inscription on the gable reads: "Zion Chapell [sic] 1808 Rebuilt [illegible]". http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=116148
