Arable field with isolated trees
This image shows the typical landscape of the Cotswolds in this area - very flat with large fields on thin soils, and small areas of woodland and isolated trees. This is a huge arable field but wide margins have been retained uncultivated for wildlife.

The Fosse Way at Fosse Tilery Farm
The farmhouse and associated outbuildings were well protected behind high hedges and locked gates, and I could find no (legal) way of getting a photo. The Fosse Way, however, continues its relentless progress northwards. (Its direction is almost exactly on the dividing line between 'north-north-east' and 'north-east', and so Geographs of it in this part of the world will show either of these directions (or, of course, SSW or SW); no significance should be attached to the distinction.)
