Entry to Malford Meadow
The area to the west of the village has been preserved as a community asset. The land is a part of the flood plains and has been granted to the village in 2010 on a 25 year lease. It offers a picnic spot and is a nature reserve.

Back of the memorial
Christian Malford war memorial stands in a little triangle of grass along Church Road and The Green. It may well have been a good spot when it was erected in 1919, but today may seem a touch odd, given that it is an island among the tarmac.

Christian Malford war memorial
A fine memorial to the lost of both world wars on The Green. The villagers were moved to create something in tribute to all those involved with the Great War by as early as December, 1918. A clear referendum result in the following May led to the forming of a committee to oversee the job. Messrs W. Webb and Sons of Chippenham were approached to make it and they chose Cornish granite. The cost of it was quoted as £70 10s, but fundraising came up with over £90 to include a plaque. On 14th October 1919, the Lord Bishop of Bristol dedicated the War Memorials on the Green (and the roll of honour in the Church) in grateful memory not only of those who fought and fell, but also the many more who served. Grade II listed.
