Station Hill, Chippenham
The former Palace Theatre on Station Hill (originally the ‘Electric Theatre’) was closed by Gaumont British Theatres Palace Theatre on 7th November 1936 when they built the town’s new Gaumont Theatre. For a time, it was used as a store and then became a snooker club and later a nightclub.

Former sorting office
Alongside Chippenham railway station is this former Post Office sorting office. The older, red brick, part of the building is unfortunately attached to the hideous extension built in 1964.
