A Georgian postbox had been taken out of service. A small additional notice above draws attention to the fact and that the village has had no information about postal services. See Image] for a look up the road for a modern postbox - presumably the replacement.

The old St John's
Ford's fine church of old stands on the main Chippenham Road. It was founded in 1896 but lasted as a place of worship only just into the Millennium. It was designed by C.E. Ponting but is now a private residence.
