Keeping one or the other upright
Some work appears to be underway in the grounds of St Michael. It was not obvious what was happening as no-one was present but the tree and the stone memorial were roped together; a ladder infers the tree was having a trim, not a felling.

Fading words to a resting soul
A stone tablet in the south porch of St Michael and All Angels church seems to be attributed to a Joseph Hille, but sadly the stone has started to crumble and is difficult to read.

A brass to the fallen
Inside the south porch of the village church is a well polished brass, listing the eight men who were lost in the Great War, as well as those who also served.

South door of St Michael
The doorway is approached by a thirteenth century porch (see Image]), but the door and arch are fifteenth. Note the two shafts either side are Norman.

An old arched porch
