No about turns on the A350
The dual carriageway north of Chippenham is not a safe place to do a U-turn. See Image] for a look at the signage on the signpost.

Crash friendly
Really good to see a sign like this, on the verge of the A350 near Chippenham. Wouldn't like to meet a crash unfriendly one. See Image] for a wider view of the pole.

Step smartly!
The footpath from Kington St Michael crosses the fields until reaching the A350 dual carriageway, where a short section of tarmac marks the central reservation that can be a half-way point. Successful candidates that manage to avoid traffic will be able to carry on their journey towards Kington Langley.

A green lane to Kington Langley
This un-named lane joins the A350 to the village, avoiding the tarmac. The sudden growth Spring foliage spurt has made it a route now requiring stout boots and leggings.

Flattened screen
Perhaps the football results didn't go someone's way. Whatever the cause, a flat television screen lies in a country lane in pieces, probably having been run over by traffic and making it even flatter.
