A view along South Street, Swindon
This is a view looking east north east. South Street is in Old Town, up the hill from the 19th century New Town (although no-one calls it that nowadays) development of which started with the arrival of Brunel's Great Western Railway.

A closer view along South Street, Swindon
This advertising hoarding is many years old. Presumably the property to which is attached was a shop once.

The Castle Inn, North Street, Swindon
A typical Old Town pub. The photographer spent many a happy hour in his youth here when there was a popular folk music club every Sunday evening. Paul Simon performed here in 1965 as did Julie Felix, Al Stewart and many others of varying degrees of fame.

Moose Centre
Moose International is an organisation that began in the U.S.A. with the intention to help and support the widowed and orphaned. It crossed the Atlantic and was known here as The Grand Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose in Great Britain, but the aims remain the same. Just don't expect to see a moose, though.
